Stella by Starlight describes the experiences of Black Americans in 1930s North Carolina. By contrast there were no Blacks in Appleton in the 1930s. Join Dr. Sabrina Robins for a talk about what occurred to make Appleton a “Sundown Town” in the 1930s and how that legacy slowly changed.
The event is part of the 2017 Fox Cities Reads and includes free admission to the museum's exhibit, 'A Stone of Hope.'
